CHERRY BLOSSOM FLOWER One of most girls’ dreams, specifically those who have not witnessed the blooming and falling of cherry blossoms, is to walk under the cherry blossoms. A cherry blossom or the Japanese cherry which is also dubbed as “ sakura ” is believed to be a native to the Himalayas. ORIENTAL POPPY FLOWER Native to the Caucasus, northeastern Turkey, and northern Iran, the Oriental poppy or  Papaver orientale  is a perennial flowering plant. SACRED LOTUS FLOWER Also known as Indian lotus, sacred lotus, bean of India or simply lotus, water lotus carries its scientific name of  Nelumbo nucifera . It is one of the two species of the water plant in the Nelumbonaceae family. This flower is usually cultured in water gardens and is a native to the tropical Asia and Queensland, Australia. The lotus is the national flower of India and Vietnam. Often, this variety is often confused to the water lilies or the  Nymphaea caerulea  from the family if Nymphaea and often called the ‘blue lotus’. But sources say they are evolutionarily incorrect because both of them are not related. They are members of different families.

It is a native to the cool temperate Northern Hemisphere in Asia and Europe. It is believed to be the lone species in the genus Convallaria, but it remains unconfirmed. According to numerous legends, the lily of the valley symbolizes the tears of Mary. It is her tears which she shed at the cross that turned out to be the lilies of the valley.
