 Climate Change Is Making Rare Brahmakamal Flowers Bloom In Uttarakhand In Off-Season Highlights - The flowers usually bloom after sunset and just once a year. But in the upper areas of the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, they have continued to bloom in large numbers around Nandikund even in October. Brahmakamal flowers or sacred lotus, rare and revered flowers of the Himalayas that bloom from August to mid-September, have started blooming again in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district due to climate change. The flowers usually bloom after sunset and just once a year.  But in the upper areas of the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, they have continued to bloom in large numbers around Nandikund even in October. According to experts, changing weather patterns are the likely cause of why the rare flowers that grow at elevations between 3500-3800 metres, are blooming in the off-season.   Queen Of The Night Flowers Blooming In A Time-Lapse Video Is Nature At Its Best Nature is a beautiful thing and leaves us speechless with its ways. A video showing how the Queen of the Night flowers bloom, has created quite a stir on social media.  The time-lapse video is 49 seconds long and has gone viral on Twitter. The Queen of the Night, scientifically known as the  Epiphyllum oxypetalum , is a species of cactus. Its flowers rarely bloom and when they do, it is during the night. The flowers wilt before dawn. In the clip, two Queen of the Night flowers can be seen blooming as the evening turns into night.  As morning comes, the flowers begin to wilt.
